Due to her age and health concerns, including two back surgeries, she is no longer capable of handling such dogs, according to a media release issued by Jeanneault.

Jeanneault founded Rescue Dogs in Canada in 2000, All Heart Pet Rescue in 1997, Rescued Treasures in 2021, and purchased Bear Creek Kennels in 1995.

The proud mother of three children has always been involved in her community.

Jeanneault has dedicated her life to working with dogs, and says it has been a humbling experience for her to help rehabilitate these animals.

She has helped countless dogs overcome their behavioral issues and has worked with a wide variety of breeds and temperaments, however she has a particular passion for German Shepherds.

Jeanneault has rehabilitated and trained hundreds of dogs for the Toronto Humane Society over the years.

She has also successfully sent dogs from her rescue to become Canada Customs dogs, police dogs to cities including Windsor and Toronto, and two dogs have gone to the Ministry of Natural Resources as tracking dogs.

However, as she approaches retirement age and faces her own health challenges, she says she has decided to focus on dogs that do not require extensive rehabilitation.

Jeanneault is well-known in Canada for her expertise and passion for working with dogs. She has helped dogs from Nunavut, Manitoba, Quebec and Ontario.

“She has a wealth of knowledge and experience, having worked with dogs for nearly three decades. She is respected and loved by many dog owners who have relied on her expertise to help their pets,” according to the release.

“While Kathy will no longer accept aggressive dogs, she will continue to work with dogs that require basic obedience training and other behavioral issues. She will continue to provide support and advice to dog owners and will remain an important resource for those looking to improve their relationship with their pets.”

Jeanneault said she wanted to thank all of her clients and the community for their support over the years.

She says she is grateful for the opportunity to have worked with so many wonderful dogs and their owners and looks forward to continuing her work with dogs.
